WARM UP PART- Each gymnastics lesson will begin with a set of exercises done to music. We follow the minimum guidelines specified by the United States Gymnastics Federation in its published Safety Manual. The entire fitness training segment will take from 14 to 17 minutes. |
WE COMBINE THREE DIFFERENT TRAINING SEGMENTS: WARM UP- It is essential to elevate the temperature of the muscles. STRENGTH TRAINING- Gymnastics skills which once were fairly simple and relied on coordination and flexibility, have evolved into complex skills that require a high strength-to-weight ratio. Strength conditioning programs will increase not only physical fitness, but also the safety and speed of learning gymnastics. RANGE OF MOTION- This part will help your child with flexibility. It is also important for success and injury prevention in all other sports. GYMNASTICS SKILLS PORTION- We start with simple skills. The progression steps are clearly identified in the form of an illustrated book. The pictures in the book describe each skill, in order of increasing difficulty. As soon as your child has demonstrated mastery of the easy skills, and the instructor has marked it on your child's book, your child can move to higher levels of difficulty. |
