Our coaches
Sabina's vast knowledge of
gymnastics comes from her
experiences as a gymnast. She has
competed in levels 4 - 9. Along the
way she captured several state titles.
She now coaches the Aiken
Gymnastics team, levels 2 - 10. She
has an Accounting degree from the
University of South Carolina Aiken,
but plans to continue coaching at
Aiken Gymnastics.
SABINA
SALLY
Sally Moser is a former AIGY gymnast.
She competed in levels 4-10. In 2004 she
was the South Carolina State champion
in level 10, and qualified to regionals.
Sally is one of AIGY's most successful
gymnasts. In 2000 and in 2002 she
competed in international competitions in
Europe. She is currently enrolled at Aiken
Technical College. She is studying to
become a physical therapist. In her free
time she likes to play tennis and teach
gymnastics.
Kaya Stone is a former AIGY student.
She competed levels 4, 5, and Advance
PO. Along the way she captured several
state titles. In 2005 she graduated high
school, and is now a student at Aiken
Technical College where she is studying
Marketing. In her free time she enjoys
swimming and listening to music. Kaya
is very outgoing and enjoys every
minute with young children. Here at
AIGY she coaches the PO teams and the
Pre-school classes.
KAYA
Ashley Cady is a former AIGY gymnast.
She started gymnastics at age three and
competed in levels 4-7 and PO. Along
the way she captured many state titles
especially on the balance beam. She is
a student at South Aiken High School
where she competes for them in
hurdles, high jump, and pole vault.
During her free time Ashley enjoys
teaching kids of all ages.
ASHLEY
HOPE
Hope Bennett is an AIGY gymnast,
who has been in gymnastics for
over 10 years. One of her many
accomplishments include a third
place finish in the 2005 USAIGC
National Championships. Hope is a
student at South Aiken High
School, where she competes pole
vaulting. She placed 7th in South
Carolina in 2008. In her free time
she enjoys listening to music and
photography.
LAKIN
Lakin Godwin has been an AIGY
gymnast since she was seven. She
placed second in the State
Championship last year and competed
in Austria in 2008. She is a student at
Midland Valley High school, and plans
to attend Clemson University where she
would like to study medicine. In her free
time Lakin likes to spend time with her
family and friends, listen to music, and
coach gymnastics.
BRANDON
Brandon McClain is a former gymnast
who competed up to class 6. Brandon
placed second in the Regional
Championships on Vault. He is a student
at Richmond County High School. He
plays in the Purple Pride marching
band, and in his free time he likes to
play basketball, swim, and do
gymnastics. Brandon plans to go on to
college and study engineering, but until
then he plans to spend time coaching
kids at AIGY.
Madison Gibbons is a former AIGY
gymnast, who started at age three and
competed up through level 7. Now she
is using her experience to coach
children. She is currently attending
South Aiken High School where she
plays volleyball. During her free time
Madison enjoys spending time with her
friends and family.
